We are seeking Shop and Road Mechanics at all of our locations. Experience and knowledge working with electric and internal combustion powered machines such as Earth Moving Equipment, Forklifts, Crane/Boom Trucks, Trash Hauling and Road Paving Equipment.
A successful Mechanic will complete work assignments in a safe and satisfactory manner, according to the needs of both the customer and the company.
Ensure proper maintenance is performed
Maintain adequate and accurate parts inventory
Perform the service job on time and right the first time
Obtain parts and technical information needed to repair equipment
Project a positive image by interacting and communicating with fellow employees, customers and management in a cooperative, supportive and courteous manner
Operate lift trucks and equipment as required
Use proper test equipment for troubleshooting
Own and maintain hand tools as required
Complete work orders on time and accurately
Qualification Standards Include:
High school diploma or equivalent required and 1-3 years’ experience in the repair and maintenance of material handling equipment.
Must be able to work beyond scheduled works hours and available on-call when needed.
Own working set of professional grade tools.
Must be able to work independently.
Safely operate hand and power tools, lifts, hoists, hydraulic jacks and material handling equipment.
Must have the ability to perform strenuous and heavy work; exert force up to 100 pounds on occasion and frequently handle loads to 50 pounds. Must have the physical stamina to perform continuously with full body motion for climbing, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, etc.
